Selections from the Project Studios Fall Exhibition Part Two

Project Studios Fall Exhibition

This is part two of our post about the Project Studios Fall Exhibition. For the first half of the post, follow this link.

At Project Studios, our sculptors and 3-dimensional artists work in a variety of materials and techniques. The exhibition showcased commercial, conceptual, functional, and ephemeral works, all produced by Project Studios artists. Here is a selection of some of the work from the show.

The Project Studios Clay Studio in Hoboken is, as far as we know, the largest ceramics studio in New Jersey with more than 100 monthly members and 5000 sq. ft. of combined workspace. Our members are potters, artisans, designers, and sculptors that choose clay as their preferred material.

We like to say that the studio has as more equipment than a college ceramics department. That’s not really an actual metric, but our list of tools is extensive. Our main kiln room has three large electric kilns, and our Pro Clay studio has three more. There are also three kilns for Raku! We also have several small test kilns for quick turn-around on beads and glaze tests.

When we planned this exhibition, our hope was to continue this type of programming as much as possible in both Jersey City and Hoboken. I am pleased to announce that we are currently working on three exhibitions for our spring Project Studios Open House in Hoboken, as part of the Garden State Art Weekend event this April. To check out what we have planned, check it out here.
